Todays #fotofriday #fotofriday is from our trip to England 🏴 last May. As a child I used to ride my bicycle 🚴 from our home then Carterton, Oxon near RAF Brize Norton where dad worked in Air ✈️ Traffic, to the Uffington White Horse 🐎 hill. The rolling green hills are so beautiful. The horse can only just be seen at the top edge of this photo. I hope everyone enjoys this extended weekend on both sides of the pond 😎
It’s been a while since I’ve shared some of my aerial photography. So for this weeks #fotografia #fotofriday we have a glorious red #sunset looking west from i35 with matching red logo of the Olathe Toyota Motor Corporation #automotive dealership in the foreground. Again the is an AEB photo from my DJI Mavic Air 2. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend 😎
Thank you Leanne, Yassy & Claudia for liking my photo. I’m grateful for your attention and encouragement. I hope you find some relaxation time at the weekend 🙂
“The City of Overland Park traces its roots back to 1905 with the arrival of its founder William B. Strang Jr., who platted subdivisions along a military roadway. Strang envisioned a “park-like” community that was self-sustaining and well planned. He also sought strong commerce, quality education, vibrant neighborhoods, convenient transportation and accommodating recreational facilities. Strang named one of his subdivisions “Overland Park.” says the Downtown Overland Park Partnership
#Fotofriday #fotografia this week is of the Strang Building in downtown Overland Park. This shot again in AEB with my Mavic Air 2
What a amazing week! So much traction at work and building our personal brand.

Made many new friends who want to learn to fly and take photos with drone. Namely, Steve Revare , CEO & Co-Founder of Tom’s Town. Steve already an avid photographer wants to learn drone photography.
So we are working with Drone Launch Academy for the Part 107 course for our community that helped me get through the test last April.
We will go flying together towards the end of April.
I wrapped up my 120 day review highlighting some opportunities for improvement in the onboarding experience at work.
I’m grateful to have received a tremendous amount of help of my coworker, Dan Lee, Quality Engineer who is helping me reduce the backlog of parts in receiving inspection.
Finally I rejoined ATD Kansas City so I could continue my professional development, leveraging my Gallup strengths to help all become their best selves!
This weeks photo is from the visit of B-29 “Doc” to the wing last weekend. What an amazing experience to touch and tour this vintage warbird made locally by Boeing in Wichita
Many moons ago I had the privilege of being in the Continuous Improvement Facilitator role at a UK based tier 1 automotive manufacturer, supplying Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Jaguar, and Rover.
In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, I led the transformation effort and implemented the attached Business Planning Process & Quality Operating System.
Our client was sufficiently pleased with our turnaround progress that they saw us worthy of awarding us supplier improvement 🥇award.
I’d welcome the opportunity to do this transformation work at your biz or non-profit
Inspired by the night shots I had seen from fellow British photographer Andy Mallins, I decided it was time to sell my DJI Mavic Air 2. This would be first time I’be trying the drone, which has a good reputation for low-light performance.
On Wednesday evening on my way home from work, I called my lady to check in on dinner arrangement. I let her know I had the sniffles an was coughing most of the afternoon. We agreed I should pick up yummy gyro’s from our favorite place, Humus and Pita on Sante Fe.
When I arrived, they were busy have their ice maker repaired and everyone was busy, so I decided to return to my car and order via my phone. Knowing order prep takes about 20 minutes, I elected to try out my new DJI Mini 3 Pro. It wasn’t quite dark, definitely in golden hour.
I took off from the space between my car and the best, and was able to see what the camera saw on the super bight screen of the DJI controller. I kept the drone away from passing traffic, set back on from the shop frontages to looking East with store fronts of Hummus & Pita, Johnny’s Haircuts, Unique Finds, Essential Hair Design, Lorax Design Group and Mimi’s Prom.
I have not done any real editing to the shot, but used an AI feature in Adobe Lightroom after Google Photos combined the 3 image exposure bracketed shots. Its quite over saturated and I’ve gone a bit overboard to make a it pop a bit. I’m impressed with the low-light capability and look forward to being more adventurous when I get over the cold/flu I seemed to have acquired.
Union Station and Kansas City skyline features in this weeks #fotofriday#fotografia this was taken again in auto exposure bracketing (AEB) mode on my DJI Mavic 2 Pro, May 2022.
All the excitement this week gave Kansas City a reason to focus on celebrating our community, appreciating what holds us together more than by what divides us. Our hope is that this spirit can continue – bringing us together in luv ❤️
The photo this Friday was taken from the National World War 1 museum in Kansas City. Sony A7iv, Tamron 28-200 F2.8-5.6, ISO 100, 34mm, F6.3.
Shafts of light, also known as crepuscular rays, always draw my attention.
Often, when driving, I’ll smile to myself at what an amazing canvas the heavens truly are, and sometimes, I’ll pull over and take a dozen photos or so.
Isn’t our planet wonderful. Even more so when you just pause for a moment to notice it.
As my Wigan friend Andy Mallins says “Happy Friday” #fotografia #fotofriday
