Sights and Sounds of Light

My post today is inspired by Leanne Cole’s post of Melbourne Gaol. It instantly reminded me if visiting Oxford Gaol (Jail) in England in May 2022. Leanne’s photo is precisely symmetrical and the lighting is so much more mysterious yet inviting.

As a child I grew up in Oxfordshire and visit the city occasional on Cub Scout trips. I’d never visited the jail until our visit last year. I wanted to visit after seeing some of the interior in the English TV show Lewis. One episode was filmed at the jail which is now the Oxford Malmaison Hotel.
